2. Excellent mechanical properties: PLA has a tensile strength of 50-70 MPa, providing the necessary tensile properties for mulch. Practical tests have shown that our PLA mulch can withstand strong winds of 8-10 degrees without breaking.
3. Safe degradation process: under industrial composting conditions, PLA can be degraded by more than 90% in 6 months (in accordance with ISO 14855 standard), and the final product is only water, carbon dioxide and organic matter, which is completely non-toxic and harmless.
II. PBAT (30-40%)
Give the product flexibility and degradation power
1. Excellent flexibility: PBAT makes the breaking elongation of the mulch film more than 600%, solving the brittleness problem of pure PLA material. Field tests show that the laying efficiency of PBAT-containing mulch film is increased by 35% and the breakage rate is reduced by 60%.
2. Accelerated degradation: The ester bond in the molecular chain of PBAT is easily decomposed by microorganisms, and its degradation products can promote the subsequent degradation of PLA. Experimental data confirms that the addition of PBAT shortens the overall degradation time by 20-30%.
3. Temperature adaptability: PBAT extends the temperature range of the composite material to -30°C to 50°C, adapting to most agricultural application scenarios.
III. Corn starch (15-25%)
Cost-effective degradation promoter
1. Cost reduction: Starch is one of the most economical biodegradable materials, making the product price more competitive in the market. Our modified starch technology ensures processing stability and a scrap rate of less than 5%.
2. Promote degradation: The hydrophilic property of starch attracts microorganisms and accelerates the degradation process. The initial degradation rate of mulch containing 20% starch in soil is increased by 40%.
3. Improve processability: The specially treated starch forms a stable interface with PLA/PBAT, and the thickness uniformity of the product reaches ±2μm, far exceeding the industry standard.
Triple synergistic effect
1. Balanced performance: the final product has a tensile strength of 25-35MPa and an elongation of 150-200%, which fully meets the needs of agriculture. In actual use, our mulch film can completely cover the crop growth cycle (3-6 months).
2. Stepwise degradation: Starch decomposes first (1-2 months), PBAT follows (3-6 months), and PLA last (6-12 months), ensuring stability during use and rapid degradation after disposal.
3. Ease of processing: Optimized formula can be produced in conventional blown film equipment with precise thickness control (10-50μm) and production efficiency up to 25m/min.
V. Environmental and Agricultural Value
1. Zero soil pollution: degradation products are completely absorbed by the environment, and no residue is detected in three-year field tests (detection limit 0.1mg/kg).
2. Carbon emission reduction: the whole life cycle carbon emission is 68% lower than that of PE mulch, and each ton of product only emits 1.2 tons of CO₂ equivalent.
3. Crop safety: Compatible with 15 kinds of common crops, without affecting growth quality and yield.
